Since the Launch the Indian Tablet AAKASH has been in News for its price ,specifications and Todya we are revealing one more Secret of it , yes there are already 3 Lakh per-booking orders for the Indian Tablet "Aakash" .
With this much amount of Booking it becomes clears that the Response to it has been very very Positive indeed and with already this Tablet being distributed amongst the Students it would become a common thing in the Country and almost every one would be having one in its Hand !
Datawind already with the help of the Government Initiatives is distributing the Tablets to use for College students of IIT , BITS PLANI and other renowned Institutes , in Estimation near about 10,000 Tablets at a very low price of Rs 2,250 , and with the amount of the pre-booking orders it has surpassed the Tablet Market in india occupied by Samsung , Apple and Reliance !
As confirmed by the CEO of Datawind , Suneet Singh Tuli , " The bookings for Aakash have been done without any money received in advance. We have identified an operator for a data plan at Rs 99 a month and We hope to make internet free on our devices with that technology which basically involves an experiment of Providing streaming a 700MB file compressed into a 25MB on a tablet."
On condition of not disclosing name , one of the executives , "Aircel is most likely going to be the Operator "
Further adding Tuli also claimed that , "The governments of Mexico, Sri Lanka, Egypt, Thailand, Brazil, Bangladesh have requested us to participate in programs similar to India. None, though have come out with tenders for supply of low cost devices as of now"
So even though not bothering a strong competition to the Mobiles that we are commonly using , what else can it bring about to the Mobile world , It's still to watch out for .
