Facebook Messenger for Android and iOs gets Read receipts just like your Mobile Inbox.

Facebook Messenger

Mobiles generally have an option which allows the user to get Read receipts of the message and as soon as the person reads it not receives it you will be notified. Now Facebook has taken this very concept to the next level in terms of getting it online, which you may have already seen in forums where you send a private message and also see the option of checking the read receipts box, by incorporating this very feature in their Facebook messenger app for Android and iOs.

Read receipts functions same as that of what you would see in your message inbox after sending someone a message and when it comes to Facebook you would be able to see a small message like "seen by xyz" to confirm that the person whom to you sent your text has seen it.

This is quite a useful introduction as it allows to keep track on our messages and helps in cases where we really want to know whether your friend has read that particular message or not. A good enough option to spy?

Apart from that  the recent update in the app brings another features which would tell you from where your friend is sending you the message by tracking their GPS position if enabled.

Another improvement that comes is with the conventional 3 dots that appears when someone types a message is now being replaced by a real time typing indicator telling you inline the person who is texting you.

The updates have started to roll out and users would soon see the update notification pop on their devices. These are most probable to get updated in web and other interface as well so that every user is able to utilize the new features.
