VLC Media Player, one of the most popular Desktop media player, is finally available for Download on Android smart-phones via Google Play. After all the rumors and news coming about tentative and info. regarding VLC media player, finally it is available to be used on android smart-phones and play almost everything.

The features included in the first ever released version for Google Play are as follows -

Plays most local video and audio files, as well as network streams, like the desktop version of VLC
Contains media library for audio and video files, and allows to browse folders directly.
Support for multi-track audio and subtitles with auto-rotation, aspect-ratio adjustements and gestures to control volume.
A widget for audio control, supports audio headsets control, covert art and a complete audio media library is also included in the beta version.

Reported App incompatible issues with many devices

Many people are reporting that their Android versions and other basic requirements satisfy the list for using VLC media player but at the moment the most important requirement is CPU ARMv7 that will support NEON. VLC media player would only run on android devices having ARMv7, However it is much expected that support for other devices would be added soon.
