Google Galaxy Nexus 7 can be a dream tablet for many users provided the quality and features it claims to incorporate and no lesser is the demand for this tablet in the world. The tablet is already available for Pre-Booking in countries like U.S, U.K, Canada and Australia via Google Play store with most probable shipping to start in July. However the arrival and availability of the device on Indian shores was not yet clear but as per a report it is slated to arrive only after September.
As per a report by TheMobileIndian , Sources in Asus, which is making this first Android 4.1 Jelly Bean device, told them "Google and Asus have no plans in place for India right now, and we will be able to announce that only post the 3rd quarter (ending September)."

This clearly gives way and calms down many rumors coming regarding the availability of Nexus 7 in India. The biggest reason for such eagerness is the Price budget of the tablet and the ever increasing demand of smart-phones and tablets in the market. Aakash Tablet, though not a quality product, was a heavy hit as per the amount pre-booked and people not getting their stocks yet. Such results clearly shows the interest of the Indian users is increasing positively towards the Tablets and if they get a quality product from the Giant, Google, at such a low cost when compared to other tablets, who would not purchase it?
The 2 versions of Google Nexus 7 costs internationally as $199 and $249 for 8GB& 16GB models respectively. Converting them into Indian currency, the price would be around Rs.11,066 and Rs.13,847.
