Since the Announcement of Ubuntu for Android by Canonical making the Integration of World's most popular Smart-phone OS and Linux Based Ubuntu it has already created a Great Hype and everybody is out to Know what it exactly is , what it is all About , what will it do and How , So Today in this article i'll be explaining and telling you everything you need to Know about Ubuntu for Android in Details .


How it is made Possible ?

The concept and Logic that goes behind this is that Android OS is already running a Linux Kernel allowing The functionalities of Both to work and run together simultaneously .

This makes us use two devices simultaneously - One our Android smartphone and The other giving  full Ubuntu experience on Desktop when Plugged in . The Ubuntu build will boot parallel while sharing the Linux Kernel from your Android smart-phone .

Hardware Requirements 

Ubuntu for Android has some Minimum requirements which are as follows -

1) Minimum free Space of 2 GB
2) 512MB Ram
3) A Dual Core 1GHz processor
4) USB Connection
5) HDMI / MHL Adapters
6) Video acceleration

Speaking about the Android OS Requirements well it would be disappointing for a Large Amount of Froyo (2.2) users but to Run Ubuntu for Android you must have running 2.3 Gingerbread or Higher .

Can i use it Now ?

The Answer is NO , Don't get mad on searching and Finding ways to Install it on your Phone . Canonical says that it is trying its utmost best to get Ubuntu for Android loaded into Phone by Manufacturers that have USB and HDMI connection or MHL Adapters .

Such promising devices are not yet available till date and are expected to be revealed or launched around the Later part ending 2012 making it the most awaited thing if you are an Android and Ubuntu geek .

It is not in the form of An Application which you feel Like Downloading from Android market and start running it at once on your Android Devices . Even it is not a Must for the manufacturers to have this installed in their devices and it is completely their choice to take part or implement this project.
