Axis the search browser from Yahoo Launched!

This is something of a shocking news and has been over the whole Tech world, Yahoo has certainly amazed everyone out here by Launching a New Browser with extensive search features naming it Axis.

Yahoo's Axis Browser

Axis Browser is available for iPad and iPhone as an application already, though android version is yet to be seen. The interesting thing that one could feel is for desktop versions there is not a standalone app one can download and install and use just like other normal browsers, instead it is available in the form of plugins as it says as an Add-on for Firefox, Extension for Google Chrome and so on Internet explorer, Safari!

The biggest change that this search browser presents is to cut off and remove the middlemen of stream of links when one types a search query and display the thumbnails which would directly take to the desired and selected webpage saving time. You can click on desired thumbnail and would be taken to the webpage directly.

The search box is presented at the bottom which you can quickly use to carry out your searches.

The browser does not support Flash and is expected to feature soon on Android and Windows Phone. Windows 8 would also see a revamped version of this.

The Axis toolbar has sharing facilities where you can share your desired webpages to twitter, pinterest, via email etc.

So is that something Yahoo needed? Can Axis turn the Axis of Yahoo?
