Apple is very close to announce the next generation iPhone along with iPad mini and we have already discussed a lot about what iPhone 5 may have that it will completely attract the smart-phone market towards Apple. In this article today, i will be making a much awaited comparison between iPhone 4S which was release last year and iPhone 5 to be release in few months in terms of the improvements and advancement that is very much expected. Being slated soon for an announcement, the official specifications would be out as well, but the tech arena is filled with so many confirmed features of the next iPhone. Let's talk more about them in detail.

iPhone 5 vs iPhone 4S Display

iPhone 4S had a standard screen size of 3.5 inch with the amazing retina display which took everyone shell-shocked. The quality of display was so very clear that many manufacturers tried to introduce the same display concept in their smart-phones. iPhone 5 is very certain to have a increased screen size from the previous releases. The expected size would be a 4-inch screen with a retained retina display. Furthermore, the quality of smart-phones is now also getting attached to their screen size and 4 inch would be a welcome change.

Camera

Apple perhaps has the best quality of camera being offered in smartphones till date and hopefully would continue to be a trademark in its future series. The 8MP iSight primary camera of iPhone 4S was a great one and there are great chances of primary camera of iPhone 5 to be 8 MP with CMOS image sensors. Apart from that the front facing camera should be enhanced in terms of quality for better video chat and self clicked images. That should involve a change from VGA to HD with an expected resolution of 1080p.

Technical Specs

NFC (Near Field Communication) and 4G technology seems to be already included. Samsung Galaxy S3 had included NFC and there is no reason one can imagine Apple won't introduce it. As for the software part it should be iOS 6. With a larger display, 4G support and more RAM , the battery has to be better and should offer more time as compared to iPhone 4S.

Hardware

The hardware end seems to be getting more changes. With a more slim,curved body & sleek look, it appears to be moving away from rectangular and flat shape of iPhone 4S. The speaker grills are bigger than in iPhone 4 and placed at the bottom. A smaller dock connector would be provided with a relocated headphone jack. The traditional home button is expected to get a change in shape with a more oval like look.

Processor & Battery

Dual core A5X / Quad-core A6 processor would most probably form the core of the next iPhone 5. iPhone 4S had 1GHz Apple A5 processor with 512MB RAM. Apart from the dual core processors forming the core, RAM would be increased to 1GB. Ofcourse that hints towards an increased display size.

Micromax Funbook Tablet was launched in India few months back when the Tablet market in India was filled with low quality and poor performance android powered tablets, providing great amount of features, great performance and amazing price. The company, has now decided to extend this product, by launching the Pro version with a 10-inch size.

Micromax Funbook served both education and entertainment purpose, and Micromax plans to extend this with a 10-inch version. This was revealed on the Official website of MicroMax Funbook where features and specs were shown.

The previous version handled what one can expect from a low-cost product but was not quite good enough to surface and match a good tablet. Display was quite poor and hence it deprived its own motto of edutainment. Reading experience was par, but with a 10-inch screen one can surely expect improvements.

Price of Micromax Funbook Pro 10-inch tablet

Previous version, that is the 7 inch funbook, was priced at Rs. 6,499 due to which the tablet was in great demand.Micromax would possibly continue the same trend and this 10-inch version should be priced below Rs.10,000.

Google Nexus tends to provide some good competition after its expected launch this September with Google's name, superior features and competitive price to this Tablet. In India, most of the 10-inch tablets are priced high and out of budget for many, but getting a 10-inch screen tablet with Good features under 10,000 is no less than a great deal.

The exact prices have not been revealed yet, but it should be floating around the 10k mark. The tablet is expected to launch soon, most probably next week.

The tech arena is completely filled with rumors of the announcement and subsequent launch of the next generation iPhone from Apple, and to add to the list there is a strong rumor that states Apple iPhone 5 would be announced on August 7, 2012. This date comes around 1 month before of the expected announcement in September. If the report from KnowYourMobile is to be believed, The world will witness iPhone 5 earlier than expected. This can also be seemed to be an attempt to take down the interest and hype of Samsung Galaxy S3 and also compete with Samsung Galaxy Note 2.

The rumors of a large display has been very much on the cards for long time. If compared with the last year announcement of iPhone 4S in October, this should not happen. Apple’s quarterly earnings are to be called on July 24 and we should get some hint in that too.

Must Read :

The strong points which favor this date are to compete with Windows 8 Phone, Galaxy Note 2 and Galaxy Nexus 2. All of these highly waited smart-phones are to coming around the same quarter and it is no surprise if Apple attempts to get ahead of them all.

Further they must be thinking on getting down on Galaxy S3 as well. Launched few months back Galaxy S3 has been able to impress the masses and Apple must be looking to hit it pretty soon.

Microsoft has finally confirmed the release dates of Windows 8 around October,2012. The speculations regarding the release of the Original version of Windows 8 were everywhere but today suddenly Microsoft has officially announced the same. Speaking at the Microsoft’s Worldwide Partner Conference 2012 in Toronto ,Tami Reller,said that ,"Windows 8 is on track to be released to manufacturing the first week in August and Windows 8 will reach general availability at the end of October. New Windows 8 PCs will be available to buy and upgrades will be available."

Before the general release there will be release of Windows 8 Release to Manufacturing(RTM) version in August providing the version for manufacturers to start working on their devices for incorporating Windows 8 as the OS.

So finally, we have a date. From the release of Consumer preview, there were strong rumors Windows 8 will be launched around second half of the years where many Ultra-books and especially Tablets were launching. With today's announced things are cleared and we can see Windows 8 running officially in our systems.

Google Nexus 7 has taken the competition in the segment to a New level where Google sees itself in great position with its first ever hand in the Android powered Tablet market. The low-cost, exclusive features, Android 4.1 Jelly bean, etc. all contribute to the attraction towards this beauty? But wait we all know there is not a Back-side (rear) camera, No Micro SD card support, No Flash support. So what to do? Buy or not? Well here are some points that are worth discussing to consider before giving a final verdict of the tablet.

Cons

No back Camera - Yes there is no back camera present in the device. Those who see it competing with iPad would really consider this as the biggest failure point, So do we. Android lovers have always looked on to the Google play for apps such as Instagram, but with no rear camera these becomes useless. Absence of a rear camera is really a big factor for those looking to buy a complete tablet in this price. The front facing 1.2MP camera is good for video calling and other purposes, but yet how many of you can see it beating the utility of a rear camera ?

Flash Support - Sadly Adobe, soon after the announcement of Jelly Bean, revealed that it will not provide support for the latest Android version.

Lack of Micro SD Card Slot - What if you want to put the contents of micro-sd card to play in your device? Google has clearly not provided any support here as well which many of us believe would not have come in between the cost cutting, rest only Google knows. If you are a complete fun loving person loving to take out movies, songs, your own stuff everywhere you go you might miss out. Those who say the 8GB internal storage is enough, well there is hell lot of space available for Android applications and other things to acquire.

No 3G network - That's really why i won't buy it. Leave the camera, flash support, micro sd card slot, But you can not always find a wi-fi network around you.

Supportive Arguments

Well enough of cons, now let's take a look at other side of coin, considering there are 2 aspects of every thing. The first and foremost thing which comes to defend the Tablet is its Price. If you want to get a quality tablet at low price well nothing can beat it. The 8GB version costs $199 and the 16GB is worth $249. So this gives a definite reason to say Bye,Bye! to those tablets which are of less quality, low performance and of course does not have the name Google associated with it.

Well what next, you forgot the Quad-core Tegra 3 processor. You could not have imagined to see it such a low end device. The inclusion of this processor itself is in high cost range but remarkably Google managed to get this in. 12 core ultra-low voltage nVidia GeForce GPU is not a JOKE. This makes the device to play some heavy games, apps at amazing speed with great graphics.

Wait, there is a Jelly Bean waiting in as well. Yes the device is the first to run the latest version of Android release by Google at I/O 2012. This makes a perfect choice for users wanting to be on the latest version .

Now coming back to the topic, If you are making a mind NOT to buy it, wait we have to say something? How many of you really happen to take pictures with your Tablets? Don't you associate a Tablet with your professional needs? If so there is a well placed 1.2MP front camera waiting for you.
Space issues? Well 8GB is not a small amount and if you keep the real utility of a tablet in mind i doubt if that might cause an issue.

A device with such amazing features at only USD 199 is a Must go. Google Nexus 7 is really a wonder piece created by Google and that's why we say it is a Must buy Tablet.

Samsung has been all around the year 2012, first with the launch of one of the best smart-phones of the world named Samsung Galaxy S3, and now all set to gear up for the big fight with giant Apple as the release and rumors of iPhone 5 and Galaxy Note 2 start getting closer and closer.
